BEES ARE NOT PETS
Bees are not pets; they are wild by nature. Bees have been living near, and working for, humans for at least a thousand years, but they have not become our pets or domestic animals. They are creatures which are independent of human beings.
Modern bees continue to create their own wax homes, they continue to make honey and live on this natural product the same way as in centuries past. Bees are doing what nature meant them to do, but people often prevent them from fully utilizing their natural instincts..
Early beekeepers understood very well that bees were wild in their natural world and that they did not feel attached to their human boss. Early beekeepers tried to disturb the bees as seldom as possible. They tried to help a bee to live in conditions that differed little from living in the wild. Beekeeping was always considered an art, for an apiarist has to understand the bees’ nature, not only learn how to deal with bees. Modern beekeepers do not understand that bees are wild animals who are absolutely independent from human beings. This leads to many mistakes in modern beekeeping which often endanger the bees’ life.
